Quick verdict

The Saros 20 is a specification-led shortlist candidate for difficult transitions, low furniture and shoppers who want Roborock's latest published power figure. Its 36,000 Pa and threshold numbers are manufacturer claims, not independent evidence that it will outperform every competing robot in a real home.

Who it may fit

It may suit homes with mixed surfaces, low-clearance furniture and two-stage transitions that resemble Roborock's defined test setup. It also targets owners who want an automated dock and app-controlled cleaning routines.

Who should skip it

Look elsewhere if your home has a single abrupt step that does not resemble the two-layer threshold test, if the dock footprint is impractical, or if a less complex model already covers your floor plan.

Navigation and low clearance

Roborock lists StarSight Autonomous System 2.0 and robot dimensions of 353 × 350 × 79.8 mm. Its official page says the front structure may pass under spaces down to 7.95 cm through limited compression, while explicitly warning that scraping and environmental variation can occur.

Suction and brush system

The manufacturer advertises a 36,000 Pa digital motor with a dual anti-tangle system. A suction number does not capture pickup across different debris, seals, brush behavior, carpet agitation or navigation coverage, so it should remain one selection input rather than the verdict.

Threshold system

AdaptiLift Chassis 3.0 is presented with an up-to-8.8 cm combined two-layer claim. Roborock's footnote limits the first layer to 4.5 cm, the second to 4.3 cm and defines the gap between them; actual results may vary.

Bottom line

The Saros 20 is most compelling when its specific threshold geometry and low-clearance design solve a measured problem. Confirm regional availability, the exact dock package and current price before treating its newer headline specifications as worth the premium.
